We left Amman at 6:42 a.m. with full charge, a full tank, and no real plan beyond reaching Aqaba before the heat. Five hours later, the trip computer told a quieter story than expected.
The route
Desert Highway most of the way, with a small loop through Wadi Rum for the views (and for the photos). 330 km in total — long enough to learn a car, short enough to enjoy it.

What we noticed
- Cabin noise stayed remarkably flat above 110 km/h.
- Adaptive cruise was happy to do most of the work on the open stretches.
- Charging once in Ma'an was more than enough for the rest of the run.
“Good road-trip cars don't ask much of you. The 08 mostly asks where you're going next.”
