Inside the EM-P powertrain shaping our flagship lineup

EM-P stands for Electric Motive — Plug-in. The name is straightforward. The engineering is not.

Two power sources, one feel

The system pairs a high-efficiency combustion engine with a powerful electric drive unit and a battery designed for daily plug-in use. The point isn't just range. It's a powertrain that feels electric most of the time and combustion only when you want it to.

What changes on the road

  • Silent starts and silent stops — every time.
  • Most short trips happen on electric power alone.
  • Long drives get the efficiency of a hybrid and the response of an EV.
We didn't want a hybrid that apologises for being a hybrid. We wanted one that doesn't need to.
Powertrain lead

Built for the way Jordan drives

From Amman's hills to long highway stretches toward the south, the EM-P system was tuned for varied terrain, hot climates and stop-start city days. The result is a powertrain that's quietly happy almost everywhere.
